The Long Count Calendar of the Ancient Mayans ends on Dec 21 2012. The calendar was started in 3113 BC by the bloodthirsty Mayan civilization, a race who were incredibly accurate at predicting astrological events. In fact they accurately predicted the length of a lunar moon cycle as 329.53020 days +/- 34 seconds from the actual length. The Mayans also predicted that on 21.12.12 the planet Earth would be in the center of the Milky Way for the first time. This has recently been found to be accurate.
